No bib. No timing chip. No finisher's medal. Still the best run ever!

Two hundred and eighty-eight. That's the number of days for which you have been languishing without my attention, dear Blog. Though I'm not one to give excuses, the last few months were too action-packed for me to sit down and write something for you, with complete freedom. This is quite ironic, given that our last post together was about our society's take on Independence!
Nevertheless, a lot has changed since the last time we met, Blog. There's a lot of catching up to do. I've moved to Bengaluru for a start. And boy, has the city been kind or what! A new job, new friends, life couldn't have been better!
This week, I complete two months in this beautiful city that I now call home. Here's to many more!

She was the one, I’d known since long,
well aware, she didn’t feel the same.
Why then, did it never seem wrong
spending hours with her thoughts, in vain?
The happiness would show on me
each time her thought raced my mind;
A fool could tell she was special,
even if he were blind.
They said I was being silly
and this was a stupid waste of time,
yet I paid no heed and penned my foolishness
in senseless rhyme after rhyme.

Hey Blog, long time, huh! Last time we met, Steve Jobs, Dev Anand and Neil Armstrong were still alive, Anna Hazare and Arvind Kejriwal were buddies, Shahrukh Khan was gung ho about Ra.One, Shirish Kunder was relatively unknown, and Sunny Leone was busy with other jobs! Clearly, its been a while. So I thought I'd just drop by and say hello...

This week saw Baba Ramdev turning from one kind of babagiri to another. I personally feel that he should stick to his forte- teaching people pranayam, and not try and politicize his approach towards Samaj Nirmaan. Wonder what's going on his head. Nadal and Federer are going to be head to head one more time and I currently saw Shahrukh Khan promoting his movie Ra.One on NDTV's Greenathon. Salmaan Khan's Ready released this week to a grand opening.

As I inch closer towards celebrating the first anniversary of my blog, the dil ki dhadkan is increasing and रक्तचाप also. The last few weeks have been breathtakingly beautiful thanks to friends and family. Special thanks to my Dad for providing me my Samsung Galaxy Tab. It has come home like a blessing in disguise. Times have been really good especially after India's world cup win but personal happiness still ranks first on the list of priorities.

Found this poem in a newspaper ad...
Sometimes I wonder if I'm where I'm supposed to be,
or if I'm who I'm supposed to be...
I wonder what this life has in store for me.
Sometimes I feel sure of what I want and where I'm to go,
Otherwise I feel lost and try not to let it show.
I live my life from day to day,
and love everything in every single way.

This Sunday, in the midst of my usual channel switching session, I happened to catch a glimpse of Mandira Bedi doling out some advice to the Men in Blue for their upcoming WC campaign and I didn't think twice before tweeting about my displeasure. Never in my wildest dreams had I imagined what was about to transpire in the next few minutes. The following tweetexchange gave me a chance to interact with one of my oldest childhood crushes. Thank you Twitter!
